Your instructor
Stefan is a freelance R developer specializing in deployment infrastructure and automation. He has programmed with R since 2017, authored two open source R packages, and presented at ShinyConf 2024. Since 2022 he has run his own freelance business, building and shipping production Shiny apps for clients from mid-sized companies to multinational enterprises, covering everything from application development to enterprise deployment using ShinyProxy, Docker, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure. He got into the deployment side out of necessity: he wanted a scalable, enterprise-grade setup but was not willing to pay for expensive proprietary platforms, so he built his own stack from open source tools and spent years refining it. Workshop participants get the result of those years of tinkering and optimizing without having to go through it themselves.
